Re: are you from the 80s
Kinda like this gem full of Texas bands
Re: are you from the 80s
I’ll chime in with my love for these bands. Hard pressed to find better ‘party’ drinking tunes than Dokken, Ratt, Poison, GNR of course etc. W.A.S.P I will listen to anytime, drink or no. They don’t make them like that anymore. Do rockstars even exist these days?
Re: are you from the 80s
Lol you Dokken Ratt Poison
how was it?
Sorry I had to.
Btt no. I think in twitter n TMZ times and bitches suing every inch of your life Mötley Crue and David Lee Roth wouldn`t be possible today.
What irks me the most is that the music also suffered badly. Now that sucks.
Atleast heavy metal stayed the same.
But Rock is dead honey, Rock is dead
how was it?

Re: are you from the 80s
Yeah, I was young once. I remember being a grad student at UC Davis and the student body that had access to funds blew their wad on a string of concerts in a little coffee house on campus. This was 1978-9 when they signed The Police (Sting and crew), The Specials from England, The Ramones from NY and a huge concert in the main auditorium featuring the Talking Heads and the B-52's. Not to mention a solo evening with Tom Waites on piano. At the end for an encore he came out and sat in a lounge chair on stage and played phonograph records of stuff he liked. He chose the soundtrack to 'South Pacific', Rogers and Hammerstein. It was a total '80's experience. You had to be there!
Found myself in the Matrix and took the red pill. Now I want the blue pill and my bottle and leave me alone.

There were a lot of musicians during that time there that held a lot of clout.Lush City wrote: ↑Sun Aug 26, 2018 9:50 pmYeah, I was young once. Dead Kennedys / Phranc / Mojo Nixon / 7 Seconds
This would have been an awesome show.

I was young once.
Here's a great edgy band from the '80's era right outta L.A.
Saw them in a small club around '81 and they were really entertaining. They were studio quality musicians just putting together a gig to make some money so they could eat. So, look at what happened! This song is the modern version of the woman scorned. I love it!

Re: are you from the 80s - best n' worst
If you can't pick which album is the best and worst due to unfamiliarity, just pick from who you know or at least who is the best and worst artist.
For the album win - G n' R, then surprisingly INXS because those two albums I actually likes almost every song on the cassette.
For the worst everyone will probably say Michael Bolton and for good reason but I did not like that Whitney Houston album at all.
