Favorite oldies you slap on while drinking

Post by Savage »

No kids aloud. (sic)
You must have been born in the 20th century.

I just listened to:

T-Rex, Bang a Gong
ELO, Blue Skies
Willie Nelson, Blue Skies
Duke Ellington: Take the A Train
Queen: just a whole buncha stuff
Chuck Berry: Johnny Be Good

I must retreat to my crypt. Dawn comes all too soon.

Queen are considered oldies? Really the 70's?

I usually start playing records of Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Dio/Rainbow, BOC, Iron Maiden.
Of course I do this when I'm not drinking also.

Oldies, eh?

Well, Sumer Is Ichumen In is always a classic tune. But the party doesn’t really get started until someone cranks up Te Deum or the Delphic Hymns. I could rock out to those Delphic Hymns all night long.

You`ll get a "H" for historic on a german licence-plate on your 80s Fiero.

Blitzkrieg - I was looking for a better version, but couldn`t stop watching that fat guy`s body devouring that poor guitar

Not the biggest fan of David Coverdale but the "Burn" album has it's moments. Like this one.

Deep Purple is a good thing. Cheers!

"Love it to Death" turns 50 years old this month.
Long Way To Go is still awesome. Cheers!

Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Zepplin, Janis, the Doors, Grateful Dead, Jimmy Buffet, Cash, Jerry Lee, Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran To name but a few.

I've been compiling a list of 100 must hear songs according to me. I plan on leaving the list for my kids to be opened after I pass. All of the songs are meaningful to me. Some are for me and the kids as we used to sing along to them on long road trips. I pop the list on here when I'm done.

The Killer is no damn oldie. There's no oldie in Jerry Lee Lewis.
Or maybe you missed the Mean old man album. Maybe you don't know the Slash Kid Rock Jerry Lee Lewis Ft Kid Rock & Slash - Rockin' My Life Away
