Infusion: Fuel of the Unholy Vikings

Post by Badfellow »

This infusion blend was created in honor of our own Oggar's 30th birthday. While at first glance it may seem to involve a lot of needless fiddling and preparation, the process is quite simple and will reward you with a high octane, highly drinkable hooch. Here's the Drunkards' Eyes Only recipe...

START:

1 1/3 liter Vodka, 80 proof
1 cup Red Currants
1/2 cup White Cane Sugar

Crush red currants into vodka and allow to sit for a minimum of five days, giving an occasional shake to aggitate sugar and fruit. Strain out solids and return to the bottle.

FINISH:

2 shots Dry Sherry

and

Top off the remainder with Sailor Jerry Rum.

Enjoy!

i can vouch for the deliciosity of this concoction. it's entirely possible that i had more of oggar's badfellow birthday booze than he did. err, eh, heh <nervous titter>

Usually just a 1/2 gallon (US) jar with a sealing top. Cheap and simple.

But, if you want to get real fancy...
