But my fondest tequila-memory (something of a contradiction in terms..) is the time Ryan and myself went clubbing with a blind man...
1) Ryan is hot
2) I have GOT to hear this story.
1) I hate having a best friend wo is even better-looking than me.
2) Seeing as it cannot be found, i'll post it again. My writing has vastly improved in the last year though (i think anyways - this is my way of saying it sucks) - go look in stories now.
As this was posted, I was finishing a bottle of Mescal on the beach in Cancun. I guess the translation was a bit dodgey. Sorry Barca, I'll do better next time.
I'm a tequila fan. I'll have a shot o the stuff tonight.
This thread reminds me of a song:
"Oh Tequila, I turn to you like a long lost friend
I want to kiss my Mexican Cousin once again
We'll cover every emotion from happiness to sorrow,
And the conversations I forget, you'll tell me about tomorrow
When the phone calls start, am I in bed or in a hearse?
The things you tell me about myself can't make me feel any worse.
Well
I'm awful sorry you got pissed
Just have to cross you off the list
Of my true friends.
And Tequila's where that starts and where it ends"
Ahhh... Tequila. The sultry mistress to my dearly betrothed Gin. Our secret is safe with her.
You can have your shots, but like most people who have had a less-than-optimum experience with the fine beverage from South-of-the-border, if there is one thing that I've learned with age and maturity, it's age and maturity - especially when it comes to Tequila. Do yourselves a favor and avoid the "well" swill (that is often more than 50% sugar and coloring), and shoot for 100% Agave Tequila. Yes, it might be a little more expensive, but your head will thank you for it in the morning. If you make it a "Reposado" (aged in oak 2-12 months) or "Añejo" (aged a minimum of 12 months) the flavor and experience will be reminiscent of a Brandy or Cognac.
I heartily endorse this DOTW.
