The Dandy

I'd prefer to call it a Dandy Fop, but you know, brevity is the soul of something something...

2 parts Brandy
2 parts Vodka, chilled
2 parts Blackberry Brandy
splash of soda

Pour Brandy and Vodka over ice into a shaker. Shake. Pour into cocktail glass. Layer Blackberry Brandy over the top, splash soda water to taste. relatively sweet, but dry. This is a chance to use good Brandy in a cocktail, but any old Brandy and Vodka combo will do, as the Blackberry Brandy will cover for a multitude of sins.

A great drink for light drinkers, until you have to carry them to bed after their second drink. Not to kiss and tell or anything.

Think I recall a chronic prom-dater in high school that swore by this recipe. But he was about as dandy as casual Friday at a NASCAR race.
