Anyone have a name for this?

Post by Drinky the Drunk Guy »

I've come with with a tasty little pre-summer drink (expanding on my usual intake of Jim Beam) and wondered if this a pre-existing mix (OR if anyone can help come up with a pithy name for it...)

Jim Beam, Peach Schnapps & 7-Up. Lately I've taken to dropping in a fresh peach slice. Yummmmy, and effective!

The best names I've come up with are "Peachy Jim" or "Fuzzy Jim" or "Beam Me Up Peachy".

Thanks for any besotted thoughts,
D

You already hit it with "Beam Me Up, Peachy."

Of course "Peachy's Dead, Jim" also comes to mind.

I'd go with a Kentucky Peach. Or Jim's Peach Fuzz.
Beer's just being social. Whiskey's drinkin'.

Uncle Jim's Peach Fuzz, though a heavy hand on the schnapps might lead to something like Southern Comfort & 7up. My thinking would be towards a heavy hand on the Beam. Sounds real good, though.

I've found that Beam is good in a lot of things like coffee (with a little sugar), lemonade (I know I'm not the first to come up with that one) and chai (don't blame me, it was Indian food night and it came free with the order). So, keep on experimenting!

Yes, mikelile,

It's definitely meant to be a whiskey drink. The Peach is just to add some summery sweetness. I don't have exact ratios, but I sure do like the ones I've been pouring at home.

Thanks!

I'd go with Peachy Jim.

The only other cocktail I can think of that is somewhat similar would be the Peach Buck.

Peach Buck

1 3/4 oz. Vodka
1/2 oz. Peach Brandy
1/2 oz. lemon juice
Ginger ale

Fill shaker with ice, add Vodka, Brandy, Juice, shake, pour in glass, and top up with ginger ale.

I would favor a name that would stand the test of multiple drunken orderings; simplicity should apply here.

How about "Impeachment".

I like peetie's: "Impeachment" - However make it Jim Bean specific...

'Jimpeachment'

or just call it 'Jimmy B. on crack'...
