A simple (very) shot I found a few nights back.....
1 part Blue Curacao
1 part Irn Bru
Tastes nice, has a fun colour so good to set up for the start of a party, a "welcome in" drink.
I've tried toughening it up but Whiskey is a bad addition, gin takes some of the sweetness off and vodka just seems it bit pointless.

Re: Scottish Blue
Cheers! Will have to try that sometime.
Never really mixed Irn Bru with anything besides vodka. I even prefer coffee to Irn Bru in the morning.

It's very difficult to get Irn Bru in bars south of the border, but will try it sometime if I can get it.
There isn't really anything that you can substitute instead of Irn Bru...

Re: Scottish Blue
I'm hatching a business plan for exporting Bru to places which sadly can't get it - get your orders in now! ;)
Seriously though, I have a long-standing deal with a mate in the US who sends me crates of Mountain Dew, I unpack the cans, pack Irn Bru cans into the box, and send it back. How the rest of the world lives without this alternative to Coke is beyond me...
