a classic northern pa winter warmer
3 cups of water
1 C sugar
1/2 c honey
3/4 cup raisins
4 cloves
6 pieces of candied ginger
5 -8 all spice berries
3 oranges quartered
1 lemon quartered
5 cinnamon sticks
1.75L bottle of cheap whiskey
place all the ingredients in a pot. (squeeze the lemons and oranges over the pot then place in the pot) bring to a boil and hold for 5 minutes , remove from heat then dump the whiskey stir well , when it reaches a boil remove from heat let it sit over night then strain into mason jars save the cinnamon sticks serve warm.
