Why would you dilute absinthe with shitty orange vodka?

Good absinthe should be diluted with water (3 parts to 1). In the absence of good water, Gin and Vermouth will do nicely. Take an ounce and a half of Gin, a half ounce of vermouth and about a third ounce of absinthe. Shake with ice.
