Snuffleupagus

Post by Oggar »

Winter has finally arrived in Minnesota, and now is the time of year for warm drinks. So I give to the world the Snuffleupagus.

Hot Chocolate + Spiced Rum

Mix to taste and keep it away from the kids or they'll be raiding your supplies.
I can't write like Papa, you know I just ain't able
But if he came in here tonight, I'd drink him under the table -Ronny Elliott

RIP Mayhem, as long as I have a heart you are in it.

that is a classic, also try tea with dark rum in it, or hot milk with whisky and spices, or to make it simpler hot milk with drambuie

Years ago, when I first married Grumpy, he suffered terribly from cold and sinus ailments. He was a coffee fiend, so I would concoct a drink of bourbon, coffee, and little butterscotch candies from England that were covered in powdered sugar. The candies soothed his throat, the coffee settled his nerves, and the bourbon did its voodoo on him. I wish I could find those candies today, as he has been hacking and coughing and horking so much, lately.
