Was there ever a thread covering the drink of the month topic? On MDM-boards there certainly should be.
Wherein every month a special drink is presented by a member of the drinking audience and after a thoughtful tasting everyone can chime in with a review of said tasting?
e.g. that superbowl punch seems an appropiate opportunity to get this stuff going for the month of february
drinks shouldn`t be too complicated of course. Ingredients may be in accessible distance to almost everyone.
Advantages:
- If your drink fails (not your fault, it`s your brains!!!), you`re not suffering alone
- You stock up with time (my cabinet is barely stocked, because I mostly buy by immediate need). You will never embarrass yourself in front of your guests again!
- fun
- filthy stories to tell your grandchildren about

Seven up and cheap whisky was a pleasant surprise. Could've used bit of lime though.

Unfortunately had a double-shot of vodka & tequila with Worcestershire & soy sauce, with a cube of monterrey jack cheese floating on top.
It was a 'worst shot ever' competition. I think I won. Or lost. Not sure it matters after drinking that.
