See the boilermaker thread. I did a boilermaker with Laphroiag and a smoked porter. It was quite good. I will do that again. Probably with the first glass out of every bottle of it I get. Screw the purists, I'm bluecollar through and through.

An impromptu mixup inspired by the Hangman's Blood, which I still haven't tried yet.
The Sacrificial Chalice:
1 large shot of The Kraken. Substitute Gosling's Black Seal or another rich dark rum if you can't obtain the squid-monster.
1 small shot of heavily sherried single-malt Scotch (heresy!)
1 small shot of brandy (Cognac probably wouldn't work here; use something cheaper and fruitier)
Transfer shots into a chalice. Top up with a mild ale. I used Newcastle, but any weak brown ale should do the job.
Quaff like you're sitting in Mr. Boozificator's chair.

Now that's an interesting idea. Beefeater is one of my favorite gins, and it's also 47% (in the US only I think). Matches the Kraken.
I've been Seagram's-ing it lately because it's so ridiculously cheap, but perhaps some Beefeater is on the horizon.
