Filled with more spirituous substances (like "Screwdrivers", "Greyhounds", "Long Island Iced Teas", etc.)

Can't we just use the soda making thingy to turn bourbon into a new kind of bubbly?

I can't take credit for it.... I think , if fuzzy memory is correct, Palinka made mention of it.

Oh holy shit. I have one of those bubblers. I am so doing this. (Going downstairs to dig through the lower kitchen cabinet and find the damn thing. OMG.)

Patchez, there is a special place in heaven for you.

Again I'm Flattered but just passing along a thought not my own. I still have hazy recollection of Palinka mentioning it in another thread. Damned if I can find it though.

Either way report back with the results Savage. If it is a promising report my Christmas gift is finally found.

Given that I made that particular post in Dear Lady S.'s own thread, I am surprised that she cannot find it.
Nonetheless, the link is above.

And oops, the soda thingy I had got recalled. I do still have a seltzer-making bottle (like the silent movie comedians would wage war with)
Yeah, bad grammar. Just another one of my services.

Tomorrow is my sistah's big 50. She wants me and my other two sistahs and my Lady to cheer her up for late breakfast/early lunch sort of thing. Her menu?

Mimosas and bacon, and other things. Now, I put them strips on sheets and cook a few flats at a time, no spatter, in the oven, 320° F.

Mimosas? Them chicks are going to use OJ (of course) and pears, and cantaloupes, and honey-dews, and watermelon, all fresh and pureéd. Man, that's a lot of work to enjoy champagne.

Me? I don't need an excuse to drink in the morning. Happy Birthday sis!

Bacon is always welcome.

They thought me mad when I cooked bacon in butter.
It was even more delicious.
They just accepted it when I candied it with maple syrup.

I've never figured out how to mix it with booze outside of just eating it when hammered.
I'll fill this out when I'm smarter

Soak it in a bottle of vodka for a month, but make certain it is very brown for full effect.

Those mmimosas? not bad, but I thought that cubes of watermelon would look cool in a clear glass with that Moet and CHandon. It just looked like someone lost an organ at the factory.

Also, tasty, and man, does that go right to the head

Burbosa* My favorite way to get hammered while consuming bacon and cinnamon toast.

*Makers Mark and cheap champagne (yeah, California sparkling wine--whatever) Beats the sheeat out of the old champagne cocktail thingy. Bonus points if you listen to Jackie Gleason's Music for Lovers Only whilst breaking your fast. Then, retire back to the sleep chamber to continue what you were doing before the breakfast break. If red wine and vodka is the Brutal Hammer, then surely, Makers and Champs is the velvet hammer.
