It appears to be a Puerto Rican anisette. So I'm assuming rum based. It has a large anise twig jammed into a load of sugar crystals in the bottom of the bottle.

This should prove to be interesting. Only weighs in at 24%ABV which for you unrepentant 'Muricans 42 proof.

*Edit* For drunks that can't math it's 48 proof.

Maybe shake before you slam it down.
Never been a fan of anise myself, I bet it`ll taste like listerine blue. Wild guessing here
