Balcones Grand Cru and Grand Cru Cask Strength

Waco, Texas-based Balcones is partnering with Houston’s Saint Arnold Brewing Company for these limited edition whiskeys.
What We Know:
To celebrate the brand’s 25th anniversary, Saint Arnold released Grand Cru, a blend of three bourbon-barrel aged beers: Belgian-style quadrupel, Russian imperial stout, and English-style barleywine. Balcones is then using those barrels to finish these whiskeys released at 55% ABV. There’s a Cask Strength version at 60% ABV as well.

Yeah. Keep your eyes peeled for these. No idea what the release will be but I imagine it won't be easy to find.

I've never seen Balcones anywhere other than the interweb. I still keep my eyes peeled for it though.

Their distribution isn't too limited. I'm able to request their stuff out here in Colorado (the appearance of Brimstone in Durango, CO is attributable to yours truly).

Just find a store that actually honors customer requests rather than blowing them off and see what's up -- no easy feat, though, I understand.
Don't worry. We're in no hurry.

Cool video featuring the master distiller of Balcones, on the subject of blending.
Don't worry. We're in no hurry.
