Last December, Roy Halladay agitated for a trade to Philadelphia so that he could play for a Championship contender.

8 years ago, Scott Rolen finally got his wish to be traded away from Philadelphia. He had agitated for such a trade because he believed the Phillies would never be a contender.

On October 6, 2010, Roy Halladay, wearing a Phillies jersey, struck out Scott Rolen, in a Cincinatti Reds jersey, 3 times.

I love this fucking town.

I won't stop fucking with my friend Pat, who is the biggest Scott Rolen Apologist I know. He even tried to out-cheer my boos at Opening Day 2002.
That was back in the day when you could get Walk-Up Opening Day tickets, and just as many fans went to The Vet to see who would win the fight, Bonner vs. The Prep. Me and my pal Noah got interviewed and put on the front cover of the Delco Times that year, and after the reporters closed the notebook, they asked us, "So who do you guys think will win The Fight this year?" Hahaha!

I got no horse in this race. From what I've seen, though, no one's beating Philadelphia.

They are scary good, at least when Halladay starts. Oh, and Oswalt. And Hamels. Scary good.
Drink your fucking drink, how about that? Stop the fuckin' presses, isn't it genius??

Halladay: 0 runs, 0 hits, 8 strikeouts. Lincecum: 0 runs, 2 hits, 14 strikeouts. The key difference here is that Lincecum is only the third best pitcher in the Giants' rotation this year, with an obscene bullpen. SF's rookie starter even had a better year than Hamels. Yet you all still leaped on the Phillies' cock so I don't want to see any bandwagon hopping this year.

In the last month or so, Lincecum is back on form and you know that.. I'll take him over Cain or Sanchez any day when Timmy is on form..

Shouldn't you be worrying about the Braves rather than the Phillies? Man, is this your first time in the playoffs? Oh yeah.....

I am worried about the Braves. Two teams don't necessarily have to play each other in order to see that one staff is clearly better at not giving up runs.

Yeah, I know that Lincecum found himself again in September. He appears to be rolling right along with his normal form at just the right time. I also know that Jonathan Sanchez had a 1.17 ERA in September and Matt Cain had a 2.19 ERA in September and Madison Bumgarner had a 1.13 ERA in September. Yet all these names aren't nearly as recognizable to the casual fan as Hallday, Oswalt, and Hamels. I understand where all the hype is coming from and why people started to think that Philadelphia had the best rotation.

There's really no debate on this topic, because the postseason is going to happen and we will discover for sure who has the better pitching staff.

Amen, and I'm looking forward to it!

Well, from a guy who's on the same wagon he's been born on, I will say this:

Only 5 pitchers have ever thrown 2 no-hitters in the same season, and Halladay is one of them.

But, Halladay is the only one to do it in both the regular season AND the playoffs.

This shit is getting unreal. Pretty soon, even Joe Buck, that faggot, will be slobbing Philly's knob.
And that's fine with me. I had to grow up with the "Worst Fans Ever" rhetoric. Fuck Sidney Crosby, fuck Michael Irvin, fuck 120lb. Santas, fuck JD Drew, fuck Scott Rolen.
We're doing this. We filled The Bank, we built this Dynasty. We're going for it, and we're never going to let go. Good luck to this town, and Halladay has earned everything he's got coming to him!

Hopped on the Phillies cock? Bandwagon hopping? I'm a Yankee fan, always have been , always will be, but a no hitter during the reg season and the playoffs? Yeah, let's all pretend like that shit never happened.

I must say, ya gotta appreciate Chimneyfish's homerism.

I hope we get a SF-Phi NLCS. Would be post-season baseball at its best.

I can't be accused of bandwagoning as I had Halladay was on my fantasy baseball team, and we all know how that turned out........
