During the late '60s and early '70s in L.A., I used to go to some Kings games, especially when they were playing the Maple Leafs, Canadiens or Bruins. When I moved to Toronto (1978) I became a Leafs fan, mostly on TV because game tickets in T.O. were tough to get. But when I moved to Texas (1993) I sort of lost interest in the NHL (though Austin does have a decent minor league team, the Ice Bats). Now that I'm over in Europe I watch a lot of soccer on TV, besides the NFL and NBA on the internet.

Hockey's a great sport, especially live, where you can really appreciate the speed (and the collisions).

There's no sport better than hockey. I coach, play, referee and watch various hockey leagues. For those that don't like hockey, I question your humanity.

I heart hockey. I'm assuming the thread Peetie linked is the one Labatt started. I can get on the board, but not through links while I'm at work, because of the filter. It's strange. Anyway, hockey is the best sport, bar none. I even took my last girl who doesn't watch hockey to a game and she was enthralled by the atmosphere, had a ton of fun. If you've never seen hockey live, do it.
