Henry IV of France said "Paris is well worth a Mass."

For many men "Poon is well worth a Mass."

I'm putting an optimistic spin on the worst-case-scenario of the ongoing lockout: if there's no season this season, it'll be the first season that Lions' QB Matthew Stafford makes it through an entire season without injuries.

I'm happy I'll get to watch my team play on Thanksgiving in the Harbaugh Bowl, but I can't come up with any good reasons why the rest of the nation should be very interested in a Ravens 49ers game. The Thanksgiving and MNF games should be reserved for the best match-ups of the season. Make the Cowboys and Lions earn it.

Anyway, here's to hoping that this lockout mess gets resolved so we can enjoy another exciting season of outstanding NFC West football

That gif-clip kills me every time I see it. It reminds me of the skiing mishap that ABC used on their old Wild World of Sports intro. This needs to be seen by more football fans more often -- maybe as part of the opening of NFL Tonight?
