Success so far with trout season!

Post by Patchez »

My twin brother and I caught these nice size, for Eastern waters, Rainbows on Sunday near Caledonia State Park. Others were caught but these two were notable for their size.

Image

My niece holding a stringer from Saturday morning with a nice palimino.

Image

That stringer tasted good Saturday evening.

Image

Another good shot of my big guy.

Image

Turns out he tasted even better than he looked.

Image

Lucky Bastard that my brother is he got a second palimino on Sunday.

AWESOME pix, Patchez!

Living and gigging in Europe, I GOTTA find away to work a fishing trip in with one of my Norwegian music-gig buddies, who, besides being a superb multi-instrumentalist, is a fly-fishing instructor! When I was living in the States and Canada, I mostly fished with spinning or bait-casting rigs for the various Black Bass species, Lake Trout or Pickerel...but I haven't wet a line in quite awhile and need to branch out.

Which one is your twin brother?

PA has some amazing freshwater fish. I always used to love it when my brother would catch some trout and bring it home. Of course, he always fished the susqy, south of TMI, so maybe I should have avoided it. Nice catch!

We fish for cattys just south of the Acomac Inn. Nice little dive bar there called the Broken Oar. Ever been down that far?

Went striper fishing out in Long Island. A seagull snacthed my friend's bait out of the water. I had to get the hook out. Seagulls have a surprisingly strong bite.

I'll miss you, pallie.
