Does anyone have an opinion on Faulkner? If so, what is that opinion?

Well, Faulkner had a bit of trouble staying above water.

Who hath crimsoned the heavens, and made the sun golden,
and the moon lustrous, and with it the stars,
and hath made the earth dry in the midst of many waters....

i'll just step outside for a while. too bad that i do not smoke.

Tortilla Flat, John Steinbeck.
You will laugh your ass off. This was entertainment during the '30's.

And tonight I am reading all about how to make the perfect fondant, for my candies. I do this because I love it, and in memory of the greatest candyman of all times. He was my boss, and my inspiration.

Loved See's candies especially the fruit filled surprises. The liquor filled treats aren't bad either. Can't imagine how those are made.

Well, you have to cook them first. Gently. Candymaking is an art, like any other, and you have to have a gentle hand with the chocolate. It is a fragile thing, and it is so easy to spoil. A little too much heat, or too much humidity, and you've spoilt it.
