Well, if you really must know
The Naked Capitalist, W. Cleon Skousen, 1970
It's an expose of how communists infiltrated the US government after WWII aided by the media.
Found myself in the Matrix and took the red pill. Now I want the blue pill and my bottle and leave me alone.

The last book I read was Stephen King's Full Dark No Stars.
A collection of his recent short stories.
captivating and disturbing as youd expect from him

"The Rediscovery of Man" by Cordwainer Smith (whose actual life was almost as interesting as his fiction - if you haven't read any of his books, I recommend that you start with this one; it's pure excellence)

If I have the time one day I`ll pick up one of these, thinking my brother owns one:

Palinka, that guy`s writing may entice you. Dunno if there is anything translated to english though. But the 30 years war is an incident that always fascinated me in some way. The sheer violence done to people is beyond ridiculous. Sad sad times.

I just read "The old man and the Sea" by Hemmingway while in the bath. I am now reading the gripping "Vegetable Growing: Month by Month"

We read Old man and the sea in english class. Back then we only unterstood that an old man has trouble getting his catch ashore, nothing else. Stupid children...
But do us a favour and give us a splendid drunken review of the latter one.

well, it's more of a reference book, and I haven't started digging up my garden. Not too detailed, but just enough to get the job done. Ideal. It's really started to grow on me

I prefer the english garden to the french. Geometrical structures in life or garden never were my root to happiness

I think a good garden has to have multiple stages, say; meadow; formal beds; shrubbery; vegetables; fruit; woodland. Don't need to have them all, but they need to have some sort of division and variety. My garden is currently a disgrace, which is why I'm reading a few books about it, though I'm more interested in the practical side of fruit and veg growing. Don't think I have the stomach for livestock

I'm re-reading The Tender Bar. It's a memoir by J.R. Moehringer. His father dies and the guys at the local bar take him under their wing to provide him a collective father figure in his life.
I'll miss you, pallie.
