Re: What are you reading?
I have just had to promise not to buy any more books until May after coming home with a fresh bagful this morning. However, I have to finish Iain M. Banks' 'The State of the Art' before I start on them. He's dying and it'll be an enormous loss when he goes.

Just finished "Waging Heavy Peace"- -Niel Young
Knew he was from Canada, didn't know he had a rich and famous father- - a privileged hippie , starting out in the early 60,s- a time of many struggling musicians
No matter- -Niel seems to be a genuine good guy- -A good ,smooth read * * * a bit fragmented so I recommend only a glass of wine or 2 while you kick back with the dog at your feet, the ol lady in the other room , and the reading glasses on*

There was a time before radio when only newspapers, books and other printed material was the main media of the the day to a more literate population. Popular short story writers were considered big personalities like rock stars. The Saturday Evening Review was a popular mag that would bring the world of short story writers to the public and promote their sales.frankennietzsche wrote:Check out this old fashioned ad for reading material, guys and gals!

University Physics Pearson International Edition. It is a bit long winded, but surprising not as dull as I remember
