I don't. Did I miss a memo?

Yes Tartan! I love food and I love booze. Bring them on, together, hand in hand!

Beer and whisky usually go well together.

Flavour it with a nice shot of vodka, and you get a divine lunch.

I voted yes, because I need to eat while I drink. I never do. I have a 2 beer limit, and usually food doesn't get served in that amoun tof time - so if I need to eat, I have to order BEFORE I order my first beer, or I won't eat at all. Like I am ever going to do that!

Usually, after about 3 beers I am full, maybe a shot of jager to cap it off. Then I really start drinking.

That is why I really should learn to eat when I drink.

I don't trust anyone who doesn't like to eat. It's like not liking to drink. Shows a lack of drive.

Well, it isn't that I don't want to - it just takes displaces booze - and I don't have much room for displacement. I think it has a lot to do with me being a little fella - I have been a heavy drinker my entire life, therefore my tolerance to size ratio is enormous. I can't afford to eat if I am going to get drunk.

I remember the days of my youth, "should we eat anything or should we just get drunker?" Drunker, of course, being the answer. But we always wanted food later. Dumpstered pizza, anybody?

years ago there was an old Greek who owned and ran a dive and grilled up sirloin burgers for like $3.50, with all the trimmings. Ah to have one of those again. Can't find decent bar food nowadays.

Back in the day - Pizza Hut would give away their lunchtime buffet scraps - I got to knwo the manager pretty well - he would have it all boxed up for me. Cold, nasty, but soemthing to eat. Wow, I mean, you can bitch about not having money, but their is a big difference then not haveing money and being flat out I need to eat poor. Good times.

I have to have a few drinks before I CAN eat. I have this ever present nausea (sp?) that only booze can cure. But after say three stiff bourbons I can shovel it in.

Sorry, Palinka, to nick your grandfathers' quote, but I must:

'Never drink on an empty stomach. Always have a couple of pints first.'
