Tequila Lime Jalapeno Battered Shrimp & Tequila

That's how I'm celebrating Cinco De Mayo. This is a wonderful combination if you ever have a chance to try it. Tequila always goes well with spicy food of course. In fact, I pretty much only eat spicy food if/when I'm drinking Tequila. But these shrimp are especially tasty (from Trader Joe's). So what are you all doing/drinking this Cinco De Mayo Friday night?

Just got back from an opening at the gallery across the street, where I had red Wine and a spritzer-type punch. Got chicken breasts in the oven now, which will be done soon. I shall scarf them down and gird my loins for the Cinco de Mayo clusterfuck across the street. I'm going earlier than most nights, and it will be bad.

Being cliched. I'm drinking Margaritas, eating Mexican food, and planning on how to recover from this hangover tomorrow.

For tomorrow is, after all, Derby Day. I will drink Bourbon and have a tear come to my eye when I sing "My Old Kentucky Home".
