Deep fried, trailer park roll-ups.
Pickle. Cream cheese. "Beef" lunch meat. Panko batter. Freeze it... now wait for it, wait for it... deep fry for 30-40 seconds at 450 F. Now wait for it to cool again... paper towel it, wait for it but not too long. Make 20-30 at a time because there will be no leftovers.

Bub and Pops, it's a sandwich shop / fine dining. Apparently, it's pretty famous and has been featured on DD&D before.Patchez wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 9:02 pmTell us more about the restaurant in D.C.Rye and Coke wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 11:12 amwas this a recent episode? Because DD&D came to D.C. to visit one of my coworkers' friends restaurants. I'm pissed I missed it.Artful Drunktective wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 9:30 amI saw on Diners Drives & Dives just now a peanut butter & jelly sandwich that had been rolled in Frosted Flakes cereal and then fried. I don't see how that could disappoint.
Oh and PB&J rolled in Frosted Flakes sounds like bad life decisions...

I remember. Last DC trip it was on the short list but we only had time for one DD&D joint so we went for Toki Underground. Great place by the way and the dive bar under it is a great place to hang till it opens.

Tripple backed junk stuff. Because we failed to eat it last time doesn`t mean we can`t bake it some more with another layer of cheese
Five gallons of beer? Interesting. And what was served for main course?

Here's another oettinger mixed plate pupu platter concoction consisting of:
3 different types of chicken wings (fried, bbq, and regular)
Potato croquettes
Baked beans
Sausage gravy
A biscuit
Mixed roasted veggies (carrots, onions, and taters)
And a single fish stick *not pictured* was recently added.
Random nibble bites are from me to sample it to make sure it tastes ok.
Looks absolutely horrifying, doesn't it?

What's Your Favorite Hangover Food?
For me it is this:
1 can chicken broth brought to a simmer
Beat two or three eggs and add almost a 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan or Romano continue to mix together
Dump the egg mixture into hot broth and slowly stir, when eggs are cooked it's ready to eat.
Simple, it's quick and it has protein, and it's warm in the stomach.
(Works for colds, flu, etc. as well)
