Nuts in the shell. They go with pretty much any drink and you get to play with a nutcracker.

These are indeed, magically delicious. And so were the cheesy chicken nuggets.

Mmmm...nuts. Yeah and I always go for the walnuts although I like pretty much all nuts. (That's what she said).scream ale wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 4:30 pmNuts in the shell. They go with pretty much any drink and you get to play with a nutcracker.

The soft pretzels were good but they gave me one big salt packet and I managed to get that fucking EVERYWHERE. The Jamaican style meat patty empanada was great with hot sauce but even while drunk I remember questioning the source and content of the so called "beef" substance.
Then I passed out. Woke up and the oven was still on, amazingly without a smoldering pizza briquette inside, so I had some taquitos for breakfast.
I will definitely be getting more of the green bean fries from the dollar store.
This is hilarious and totally me in all regards- especially the salt mess. ('cept I would have had Hidden Valley Ranch with my g.b. fries). Empanadas! Those are hard to disappoint.

Doh! You had relations with Schwantz, did ya? Heh.mistah willies wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2015 4:27 pm
Back when we used to have all kinds of folks over to shmoke, and I worked for a home delivery service whose names rhymes with Schwantz, well, I had all kind of access to high fat-laden munchies. but haven't tried deep fried, battered green beans. Sounds tasty. probably better for me that deep fried pickles. woe to high blood pressure sufferers like me
Back in the day I had a housewife friend that would order from them. I would peruse the catalog and thought it was pricey and a tad hoighty toighty to have frozen foods delivered to your house like that when the grocery store was a few minutes away. I did however, marvel at all the delicious items that were offered. I recall cheese stuffed pretzels and also a cheese stuffed bread ring. MM MM MM! Fortunately my friend was also a stoner (and a drunkard) so that was a bonus when she shared these tasty treats. In retrospect I realize if I had the money to have someone deliver such snacks to my door, I sure as hell would do it too!

Re: Best Drunkard Munchies
^^^ I disagree sir. With enough hot sauce the cold hamburgers are quite good.
Re: Best Drunkard Munchies
Chinese food is always a great bet. My go to is fried dumplings in garlic sauce with chicken or house fried rice. General Tso's Chicken with white rice and an order of crab rangoon. Eggdrop or eggdrop with wontons are the soups when ordered.

This I agree 100%! Dumplings and rangoons are up there on the best ever list. And there has to be wontons for the eggdrop oh yeah.

Re: Best Drunkard Munchies
It's been a long, unending journey to find a place that can make steamed dumplings that are not gooey bread dough lumps.
That stuff is fine and the norm for pan friend dumprins, but not for steamed. Each and every time I finally find a place that has those light, fluttery dumpling covers, they pack up and head off to New York City.
Think: extra-wide egg noodles with melted buttah and that's the texture. Not that thick chewy shit.
Now I'm all pissed off over nothing. Time for a beer to cool down

Damn straight, brother. To this I can relate.mistah willies wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 9:40 amIt's been a long, unending journey to find a place that can make steamed dumplings that are not gooey bread dough lumps.
I've been getting into the Tibetan momo this one place makes, basically a steamed dumpling filled with beef, green onion, garlic and spices. They serve it with a ponzu-like chili sauce for dipping, though I always ask for a dollop of house wasabi mustard on the side.
They also do house made cheese wontons (four leaf, deep fried) with bits of minced scallion and carrot in there. Apple sweet and sour sauce and finely shredded raw cabbage on the side.
And! And... their sake sample boards cost less than the average mixed drink! Kampai!

There are many ignorant and violent supporters of the term "pronto-pup" who might argue otherwise.Artful Drunktective wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2020 12:47 pmI've said it in probably every thread and I will again...can't go wrong with corndogs.
