So what to mix with Applejack
Savage: "Unkle Lemmy looks just like his avatar, and that is hawt. Also, he sends me a crate of bourbon every month and for this, when I die, he will inherit my castle in Savagonia, and my 72 virgins. (They are all good boys, and very hard workers.)"
I always drank it straight or with a splash of water like Bourbon, but I found a few recipes in Tom Bullock's Pre-Prohibition Cocktails.
Applejack Cocktail:
Simple Syrup
Raspberry Syrup
Shake over ice
Applejack Fix:
Simple Syrup
Lemon Juice
Curacao
any fruit syrup
Serve over ice
Applejack Sour:
Simple Syrup
Lemon or lime Juice

50/50 Applejack and Old Overholt. The George Washington Exacta.
The man who intoxicates himself on bad whisky is sometimes moved to kill his wife and set his house on fire, but the victim of applejack is capable of blowing up a whole town with dynamite and of reciting original poetry to every surviving inhabitant.

Fermented apples (cider) that is then distilled. The French version, which is pretty damn good, is called "Calvados". Think of it as Apple Brandy. "Jacking", if I'm not mistaken, refers to freeze distillation, thus the name.DeafDrinker wrote:What is it exactly?
