What he said.

There wasn't an absinthe on that list I'd waste my hard-earned money on.
For my money, the Brut d'alambic offered by LdF is one of the best commerciallly available absinthes. I'll also buy the Montmarte for something different. The Jade Blanchette isn't all that bad either, though the first run was better. The Clandestine La Bleue is also a staple in my collection.

And Fiend, do I know you?

I'm curious. Is absinthe all that great? Or is it just the prohibition of it here in the states that makes it desirable? I'd try it it if wasn't a pain in the ass to get. And how much does a bottle go for where legal?

It’s strong liquor, so it can’t be all that bad. Yes the prohibition does make it seem like there is more to it than there really is; there are no added effects from the thujone that I have noticed. Although if you like Jager or other licorice flavored drinks then you will probably like absinthe.

You might try http://www.absintheonline.com/
I have ordered absinthe from them before and have had great service. Absinthe from Europe to Kansas in 3 days isn’t bad. Plus they carry good brands of absinthe.

It would seem quite unlikely that someone of your noble character and grace would know a fiend.
