Heaven Hill's going after Maker's with Larceny

Post by NightShiftCharlie »

Saw this review in Serious Eats: Drinks about how Heaven Hill's got a new wheated bourbon called Larceny, to compete against Maker's Mark. Here's the review:drinks.seriouseats.com/2012/08/new-larc ... ?ref=title. Since both HH's Evan Williams and Maker's are pretty popular here, the big question is this: is Larceny a good new addition to the Drunkard line-up, or is Heaven Hill's challenge to Maker's fightin' words?

Takes years of practice, son.

Looking forward to giving the stuff a taste. But...peanuts??

I always get a little suspicious when the tasting notes get more than about 3 or 4 deep. That said, I'm sure the "peanut" is very subtle, probably like when people describe coffee as nutty.
