I was looking for pierogi recipes and found this site and the above article. Has anyone ever had Polish mead? Does anythng set it apart? Can one buy it abroad (or can someone buy a broad it- *zing*...<wiggles Groucho eyebrows>)?

I`ll check closely next time at the store though, haven`t paid too much attention to the different Met brands yet.
I prefer the hooch version with 35 abv anyhow, but that shit is sweeter than sugar. It`s one of the very few liquors that NEED to be watered down or be used just as a mixer

Old Smart Skunk sent me Lithuanian mead once. Shit was quite good. Had acorns on the list of ingredients. Gave it a fantastic earthy flavor. I have to get more of the stuff.
