I would like to share a story that happened 8 years ago. Now first let me say that I in no way endorse drunk driving! That being said.....here it is. The year was '98 to be exact. I was sharing an apartment with my buddy from high school. We were messed up 24-7 and this night was no exception. Two youngsters bent on self destruction...... My roomie (we'll call him shit-for-brains) and I were holed up in the apartment in a mountain town in northeast PA. The weather was bad, snowing and sleet, a typical January night in the northeast. He had a fake ID which brought us much booze, this particular evening was Bacardi 151. Being the young and poor scrappers as we were, we couldn't afford good beer so we accompanied our 151 with Natty Ice...(yes how pathetic). I understand that is enough to make anyone puke, but we were acclimated and always held it well. Anyway, after a few hours of Monday Night Raw and some debauchery that followed, we decided that we were starving and needed some grub. A quick opening of our fridge revealed 2 month old leftovers from Thanksgiving that our families had pitifully donated, and some ketchup. This simply wouldn't do. We needed substinence and we needed it now. So shit-for-brains decided hey who cares about the blizzard, let's drive the 7 miles to nearest quickie mart open 24-7 and get some grub! We indeed raided the couch cushions and scraped all our change together and decided we had enough for two wonderful drunken hoagies! So off we go into shit-for-brain's 1988 Cadillac which he purchased for about $1000. It was a nice car don't get me wrong, but a bit of a tank. I'm so glad it was a tank, did I mention the weather was bad? We made it about 1 mile from the apartment on those winding country roads through the ice and snow until we encountered a nice steep downgrade through a turn...........disaster..... The tank spun out of control. All I could see was a giant oak coming at my passenger side with no way to avoid it. The car smacked it and my door dented inwards. luckily it wasn't enough to get me. And there we were stuck in a 3 ft snowbank 1 mile from home on a dark and desolate country road in the middle of the night. What could we do? Well we walked home, as if we had a choice. The road was a sheet of ice and we slipped and fell on our asses about 20 times that trip. We did however reach our destination though, and worn out from the walk we had to have some more 151. Needless to say we still had the drunken munchies that no walk would eliminate. Shit-for-brains looked at me and said "dude, i'm still hungry." I said "yeah me too." We left his crappy car on the side of road and figured a tow man would be calling the next day. And with that we piled into my 1989 Cutlass tank and went to Wawa through the ice and snow. As retarded as we were we procured the much sought after hoagies and a good time was had by all!!! Yeah my driving skills were supreme. I'll take an italian with no mayo.
PS Yes newbie, what are y'all havin?
A trip to Wawa

Oh and I'll have a Bloody Mary please, extra spicy.
Wanna hear some bullshit? The Wawa in my neighborhood in Havertown expanded two years ago to a Super-Wawa, replete with bathrooms. Fucking bathrooms. And to think of all those times as a drunk teenager when I risked neck and limb pissing out back on a cold night watching out of the corner of my eye for cops.
Kids these days. They've got it so easy, with their PSPs and their broadband internet and their music.

Re: WAWA
Hey, you're not too far from my neck o' the woods. I remember one summer in high school the thing to do was go and play volleyball at the sand courts behind the police barracks there. It was pretty fun.mardallas wrote:Love it. WAWA is located across from Franklin Mint near Chadds Ford PA

So great.PhillyDrunkPickle wrote:And no charge on the ATMs in a Wawa! :D
I got a hot turkey hoagie on a Kaiser for a drunken snack during the game last night. So glorious. I housed the thing in like three minutes.

From what the Old Man has explained to me, probably a Piggly Wiggly. Its a convenience store, most usually open 24-7, that makes glorious hoagies.Jukebox Johnson wrote:I do not know this WAWA of which you speak. Is it more like a Piggly Wiggly or a Starvin' Marvin?

You know nothing of either Piggly Wiggly or Starvin' Marvin. Thanks for your input, but I do do hope to visit a WAWA someday. I would be drunk, not driving, and willing to spend some money. I and a my bevy of bikini clad Carolina Panthers Cheerleaders will buy all the 40's and Beef Jerky in the store. We (I) would tip heavily and screech out out the parking lot. laughing and mocking the NFL and MADD establishment.coqui_chris wrote:From what the Old Man has explained to me, probably a Piggly Wiggly.
