My hangover reminds me of dog shut stuck to the bottom of my shoe. It's terrible and I can't seem to be able to scrape it off.

It's almost 4:00 P.M. and I'm ready to get back in the game. I'm starting off at Lally Grill. A little too bright and fresh for my taste. But, at least the dog has clean hair. Right?

Alvarado Brewing Company had a great Coffee Stout. The Bear and Bull made a top-notch Moscow Mule.
The problem is that it's Thursday night.
And there are two major colleges in Monterey.
And college kids start drinking on Thursday nights at 10 P.M.
And it is now 10 P.M.

It's about 11:30 P.M. and I just finished what will probably be my last drink before heading home in the morning. Sadly, I don't feel that I did a very good job at drinking this town to it's full potential. I have let myself down. I have let all of you down. And I have let down the local economy.

I will be in San Diego in a month and will try harder. I promise.

Well, here we go. It's my last trip for the season. In 10 minutes, I will be heading for FYI (Fresno Yosemite International) to fly to San Diego.

SD is a great drinking city. Probably one of the best in California, due to a Naval base, a close-by Marine base, several large college campuses, and a hub for International business. Whatever the reason, I plan on making the most of this trip.

This will be my forum for sharing the adventures of my drunk travel adventures. Say a prayer for me.

John Muir's tavern is located about 20 yards from my gate. What a great way to kill 45 minutes. An Irish Coffee is a good start, but the prices are rediculous. $10.79!

The nice thing is that I get to listen to three separate peoples' phone conversations. One guy loves his wife, a lady loves her kids, and a young man is looking forward to driving a truck in some mud. All three of them are drinking expensive Bloody Marys.

San Diego has a very nice Irish Bar that I can't seem to be able to find. I've been walking around for about an hour looking for it. I've found others, but can't seem to remember the name or exact location of the one I like. I'll know it when I see it.

My immediate goal is to keep trying each one with a pint at each.

If it was Sam's Town, you could walk around with a pint in a Solo cup. Or is it like that there?

Tonight was complicated. It started with a reception taking pace abort a historic ferry docked in the San Diego Harbor. There was s lot of free booze and food and bullshitting. It was then decided that a group of us would walk to little Italy for dinner and drinks at a nice restaurant. That's when everything went to shit.

My drinking experience was cut short last night by a incompetent bartender, a Russian waitress, and a little, mother-fucking hipster manager. I refuse to pay $9 for a god damned beer if it doesn’t at least come with a napkin under it. I made this point clear and was reminded that I was an asshole. So I told them what I thought about them and their service and made it clear that I would not be dining with them.

The night wasn't a complete loss. The is a Claim Jumper's Bar right at the hotel where I am staying. So I closed it down before heading to bed.
