I could point you to a couple of those. They're down by the Terminal. Lots of crack, though.Artie2002 wrote:Is any bar she drinks in!

Hi, thanks for the post. I'm heading out to Seattle for vacation soon. I'm looking for some good spots. What sort of place is
the Funhouse? Micro, classy, neighborhood type, etc.

One of my favorite bars in Fresno. The Captain's Brig is a true dump. Ugly prostitutes, the occasional two bit gangster wanna-be's, a bartender who looks like Joe Dirt, cheap drinks... what else do you need?

And there better be a condom dispenser if the prostitutes are that ugly. But other than that it looks like a fine establishment indeed. The nautical theme really ties it together.

I like that life-saver decoration. Immediately gives me this sailor bar vibes.

Side Pockets Restaurant & Bar
Yeah obviously it's nothing special- a sports bar with billiards- but I don't specifically go there for that (but after a few drinks it becomes a "Sure, why not?" sort of thing). They also have a huge spread of darts which I'm actually a bigger fan of. There are about 6 locations or so of them in the Midwest and they encompass all the things I love about a bar.
It was always dark inside no matter what time of day, and it was really spacious like a mini casino so even when it was busy, you could spread out.
It had a decent enough ambiance to attract all sorts of people but not above having some spill stains on the carpeted areas.
It had every sport imaginable for viewing (including PPV events) for those into that. Having a lot of home town teams, there was always camaraderie.
The menu was diverse and affordable, consisting of all the delicious and necessary drunk bar foods in addition to hearty drunken meals such as chicken fried steak, fish n' chips, chipotle chicken Alfredo with garlic bread, or even bacon wrapped pork medallions.
Bathrooms with toilet paper always.
Conveniently located to my house.
They had something for every drunkard! There was even a jukebox with a wide array of music. We always looked around the bar and joked at who picked what song as they came on. I had a lot of great times there and still do when I make my way back. So I felt it deserved some recognition...
...and also to change the topic on this thread to be cleansed from the taint of Thirsty Birdy always popping up.
