Actually, and for the record, it was a Brutal Hammer; Le Patron was a former Legionaire.

Mr Viking. If you're going to drink a Brutal Hammer in a pub, do it in style.
I wasn't so adventurous, but I did drink a lot of Guinness.
Just a glimpse at the beer.

Mr Viking gives a thumbs up. This near closing time about a month ago.
Mr Viking opens a bottle of wine.
Mr Viking's cider. I think it was good but I cannot remember.
Scene missing. However, I was coherent enough to make us both pose for a picture.
Really small picture again, but this is a photo of Crosslands, the pub in which Begbie's bar brawl (and glass toss) in Trainspotting was filmed.
One of the few pics from last Sunday that I managed to take without falling over.

If you did, I probably goaded you into doing so. I remember finding the whole thing really funny.
I later went to the newsagent across the road and bought a ridiculous amount of crap sandwiches.

yeah, those sandwiches are pretty dodgy. Pretty much everything apart from the crisps and shake and make pancakes is dodgy

I found out the hard way...
Still, it was a fun night. There's talk of the next GDS meeting being worked around a roller derby show...

Excellent! Always pleasing to see photos from past meet-ups. Reminds me how much I love this board and the characters I've met on it.
