May I please draw your attention to the Volunteer Thread and add that the organising committee expects to announce exact dates within the next 24 hours.

Please, please, pretty please, get volunteering.

Many thanks,

I'll start working on a commemorative t-shirt.

Nothing tacky yet impressive to the eye and non-metal. Some of us must pass through metal detectors.

Think of it as Drinking Man 2. At my place, about 2 hours west of Drinking Man 1. I hope you come!

Please include Fiona Fort in the list. She was from Australia, and on the chat board, and she ODed/committed suicide a while ago, but definitely after DJF passed.

Zoe/Schmernoff too, she died a few years ago. Shit, what a depressingly long list.

Now that matters have firmed up, it's probably a good time to put a definitive fact sheet: Where, when, what, where to fly in, car pooling possibilities, etc. What is the address of the place, for instance? What time of day will the actual thing kick off? Etc

Memorial Day weekend, May 22-27, Thursday to Tuesday. Schedule, a work in progress. I plan on nightly entertainment. And other stuff.

Oxbow Resort Motel, 1741 Rte 2, Charlemont, MA 01339.

Airports: Hartford/Springfield, aka Bradley, about a 75 minute drive. Or Boston, aka Logan, about a 2.5 hour drive. At least 2 Drunkards will be driving by Bradley, NY Dingbat and Treetop. Others who are carpooling are in this thread somewhere.

I think it will kick off when you get there. When will that be?

If it's kicking off on Thu then I will do my damndest to touch down at Logan on the 22nd. Let me touch base with the other CO drunkards as we'll probably want to share the flight and rental car.
