The Vagabond Drunkard Review: Ukraine

Post by AntonArkydivich »

This is short, because there is little to say: Ukraine is wonderful. The people, the alcohol, the sights, the alcohol, the affordability, and the alcohol. Seriously, I understand why Russia wants this place so badly.

Whether it's $2 bottles of quality vodka, $0.30 beer, incredble hospitality, beautiful nature, Ukraine has it. Where else can you smoke a cigarette at the sight of the worst nuclear disaster in history, and then get a nice dinner and drinks for less than $5? Hell, I've been in Kyiv for a week and I have yet to pay for any lodging. Me and the wife cook dinner, and stay for free with friends-of-friends.

Ignore what the news says: this place is incredible, the people are the same. We're coming back in a month to teach English, after Berlin and the Czech Republic. Learn to read Cryllic and you're set.

Nasdrovia.

Been there. Totally agree. I even brought 10 bottles of that wonderful vodka home.

Cool, when in Berlin try to contact constantine. He might depart to sweden shortly though.

Btw, Russia doesn`t want it, the NATO does though

I know. Oversimplifying is just so easy though.

And thank you for the tip, I will definitely try when I head that way.

AHAHA! Nice, using sarcasm on your very first post.

This made me smile.

In the spirit of Ukraine, I will say that their homemade vodka can be exceptionally good. If they threw some of that shit in barrels, it would turn into incredible whiskey.

And the some of it is murky and grey, and probably did a lot to reverse my LASIK surgery.
