It doesn't bother me as much as "missy" or "broad", interestingly enough. At least with cunt, someone is measuring my offensiveness or bitchiness. With the other remarks, I am not worth insulting. Good thread. Never really thought about this before.

Why is 'cunt' a worse word than 'motherfucker'? I don't mind either that much but I think 'motherfucker' is surely marginally ruder?

I thought about this when posting... but I still think cunt is worse publicly than MF because MF to me is like saying gawd damn.

It's also about intent, I think cunt is so offensive because when people resort to the word cunt, they are truly trying to offend someone.
