Modest Mouse would be good - will have to look into that...

Went to The Adademy 2 tonight to see Teenage Fanclub. Pretty good. First gig on their tour but it was packed in there - they probably could have played a bigger place. Absolutely no teenagers there.

YOU WANTED THE BEST YOU GOT THE BEST!

Tomorrow night I'm going to see the HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD-
KISS!

I saw them in 1979, and again in 1995. This should be a trip.

On a side note, does anyone remember the Rock-N-Roll Doctor? This shit is still funny:

I skipped Kiss on a festival a month ago. Shame on me.

But, ladies and gentlemen, tonight I'm gonna see the one and only Shane and The Pogues! Oh yeah!
Heading to Amsterdam and starting the dinking in about an hour...

that was my first concert! my dad took me and my friend, mike strusky to watch ace have to be bodily escorted onto the stage because he was so fucked up and the stage, which if i recall was designed to look like a tank; white in color. hindsight being 20/20, i remember looking back and seeing some guy smoking what i thought to be a very large 'cigarette'. my dad was pretty mellow that eve, which wasn't really his usual tenor.

EDIT: not really 'seeing a live band' but if you can get it, check out foo fighters at wembley stadium. 86,000 fans. an awesome show, only to be out-showed by the encore. jimmy page and john paul jones, on the same stage, with the the foo's and dave grohl doing his best to make bonham proud.
why is my moral compass always pointed east? that's the direction of the nearest liquor store.

Heading in to buy Motörhead tickets today; they play here in a week's time. Always a good reason to get extremely drunk. Saw a few local acts on Friday night. Said night ended with me being ejected from a casino.

Few others to consider also.

Was supposed to see Mogwai but they cancelled the bloody North American tour! Grr. Must've got a drug charge on the record or summat.
