Seriously, the only good times were when Papa would lock me in the closet to guard the homebrew.
To be fair, I'm drunker than you.

Being raised in a german kindergarten

Isn't "German Kindergarten" rather superfluous saying that in Germany? Isn't it just "Kindergarten"? That's like saying "I went to the ATM machine" when the "M" in 'ATM' already stands for "machine". I went to the ATM.

Okay so stuff we thought about as a kid...we were all taught some form of "stranger danger" by our parents....but didja really know what it meant???? We knew not to take candy from weirdos and stay away from strangers because those people could kidnap ya and ya might not see your family again - but did you know what that really meant? I sure as shit didn't. Why would somebody want to offer me candy to kidnap me? How naive!! I think I'd rather have known the truth instead of being sheltered from the sickness of the world. Knowledge is power.

HAHA! Exactly my point in my "stranger danger" post. We should have been told that Uncles were molesters.

Shit. When I first learned the pledge of allegiance, I guess I learned it phonetically, because what I thought it meant, and what it does mean were worlds apart. Here's the breakdown:

"I pledja legions to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for witch's stands, one Nation under God, invisible , with liberty and just us for all."

1. I had no idea what "plegja" meant, but I knew legions meant a lot. I have no idea why I knew that.
2. I thought that a "witch's stand" had to be like a pulpit for witches.
3. Everyone knows God is invisible.
4. Yep. That pledge, the stand for witches, and everything else. It's all just for us. Nobody else.
This is pure gold. Thank you for sharing.

Interesting, yup.

I've always thought this. Some folks watch only a certain news channel, instead of looking at all the things that others countries are Putin out there, and then formulating your own thoughts. It's easier to eat pablum than it is to chew a good steak.

However, sometimes knowing something without being able to do anything about it will leave most people feeling helpless. Then they get angry and start planning to do something, anything.

That's why I always prefer the idea of unifying against a common enemy, instead of each other.

Politics sometimes feels like fist fighting on the deck of the sinking Titanic.

Another thing that I thought, because my brother would torture me by telling me this, is that when one is in the shower, and someone flushes the toilet, the pee water comes out the shower head.

Also, there was a bunch of Catholic stuff that I thought was true. Especially all that supplimental Thomas Aquinas stuff that isn't in the core rulebook, but they don't tell you that.

My older sister convinced me that if I told her a secret, she could simply mess up her hair and would immediately forget what I just told her.

That's not true, is it?
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a drunk man tortilla chips, Velveeta and a hair dryer and he has nachos.

I couldn't watch Saturday morning shows on the floor while wearing only my tighty whites with my repast of roof-of-the-mouth-shredding Honeycomb Hide-out cereal.

I'd thought that the television people, whether real or drawn, could see me as i could see them, so I put on a tie. In addition to my tighty whites. Proper. Perhaps Alex P. Keaton did that as well.
Isn't this you still to this day?
