Hey there, Candy-O
Here's my first love. I rebuilt her engine in my bedroom when I was 15.

Wait... are you talking about the GT? Or the Dammergracht out of Amsterdam?
And are you talking about rebuilding her engine in your bedroom? Or "rebuilding her engine" in your bedroom.

Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV
one day one day honey
Funny note, I recently saw a yellow DeTomaso Mangusta coming next to me in traffic here in Wuppertal, crazy. Only 220 units were made in the late 60´s

I do own this one. Same color, TI version, same engine. I love it. I even learnt to fix it's suspension, which was pretty screwed up when i first got it. That 2.5liter v6 is not the most powerful engine around, but it has enough torque and makes really nice sound when you rev it. Basically i spend great deal of my time taking care of it. It looks great.

I used to have a '68 Volkswagen Beetle back in high school. Same color and in beautiful shape. Laugh if you want, but the girls LOVED that frickin' car.

Re: Car Culture
I used to own Hot Rods back in my teens - early twenties, but I got in a lot of trouble and had to get rid of them.
Now I wish I had a few of them back. My top 4:
1. Rambler Convertable. Mine was a '65 but same color as this. Not a Hot Rod but a fun party car. Lost my license due to multiple violations, registered the car in my girlfriends name so I could tag it. We broke up and she ended up with the car and I never found out what happened to it. sad
2. '69 SC Rambler. Small light body with a 390 V-8, that little fucker could barely get out of it's own way. Tore the clutch out of it at Kil-Kare dragway, fixed that a few weeks later and promptly wrecked it drunk on a country road. Parted out. sad
3. '68 Torino. This is similar but mine was a fastback and had rust. 351 Windsor this car would shit n git it. Crashed it in a river while drunk. Totaled. sad
4. '67 Chevy II Nova. Mine was jacked up with Craiger wheels, 327, all straight, primer red ready to paint, and the loudest sound system in high school. Hit by a fuckin drunk driver when it was parked in front of my house. Parted out. sad

I want one of these. I'll probably never be able to afford one but I still want one.
