having an unseasonably cold snap here. not really all that cold, like 20s at night. went to a networking thing last week, i get there without a coat. this guys asks me if i had alcohol in my veins, i say not any more than the next guy...but the next guy's dean martin. thin-blooded they are here.

Heating fixed today - it went down to -9°C last night (-16°F) but for now the cold spell in my house is over . Am celebrating with J Sainsburys 'Kentucky Bourbon' :-)

C'mon, seriously. Celsius bases around the freezing point of water whereas you almost need a home chemistry kit to figure out where the whole Fahrenheit thing starts. I don't wanna have to take alchemy classes to decide if it's cold enough for me to put on a sweater before I go out.

OT: It's been laying between -2 and -10 here. It's all shifty in this area, I'm just glad the snow hasn't turned to slush yet. Worst thing is when it falls, melts and then freezes over again and turns to a landscape of jagged spines and smooth ice. This is especially problematic since there isn't a single flat surface in the entire country.
