Oh man. I had a dream (nightmare) a few nights ago about that creamed possum. I actually tasted it in the dream, and it was terrible, of course.

That is one fucked up dream. But interesting as it's one of the first times I've heard of anyone tasting something in their dream. What's the closest thing you would compare the possum to?

You know, chipped beaver slow simmered in Possum cream counteracts the bitterness. Possums subsist on Gum Bushes because they tend to get stuck in them anyway, and gum bushes aren't tasty unless you blanch the stalks first with muskrat entrails.
Also, you can't blow bubbles with gum bush gum. It's just chewy.
For the vegetablarians amongst you-all, instead of creamed possum, try the ground toenail dust thickener sauce along with tofu what's been sizzled on the engine block of a '1972 Chevy stepside pick-up truck. The leaky oil valves add to the smokiness and deliver a deeelightful tang. 20-40 weight is best.
