I find the whole concept implausible.

Btw...21st-century zombies have GPS systems, Google Earth and Map Quest to assist them in finding you.Two Hearted wrote:Exactly.Wingman wrote:ha! yeah, read "world war z." they freeze in the winter up there, and thaw out in the spring to come get you....peetie44 wrote:
Zombies don't care...they will find you...
seriously, though, one thing The Redhead and i were talking about with "walking dead" is, no matter what the cataclysm, cities are deathtraps....
They will not find me--at least for a long long time. They'll be way too busy in the highly populated areas. My self-sufficient (albeit very rustic) abode is pretty far off the beaten (or any) track. Plus, has the advantage of having only one remote winding paved road leading to the access point (after that it's at least 6 miles into the woods). And this road has a bridge that could easily be 'taken out' if one has the right equipment to do so...
Ever read 'The Road' by Cormac McCarthy? Not zombies, but post-apocalyptic. One of the best books I've ever read. My refuge wouldn't do me much good in that case--if everything is dead and/or dying, living off the land soon becomes a non option.
p.s
Must get myself a copy of 'World War Z'.

Most shows are implausible, which is why people watch them...to get away from real life.FNZ wrote:I find the whole concept implausible.
I do know some people, like my old roommate that love watching reality shows and court TV, but for the most part people want to go to a fantasy world, which is why so many action/fantasy movies require suspension of disbelief and yet they make millions. I took a few social media classes, this has been pretty researched.
