Drinking scars

Post by Savage »

I have a terrible scar: a white line on my nose. All on accounta I was too cheap to buy a new set of slippers, and so, the current pair took me out

okay, that is a lie. I was riding down on my bike, and fell off. Sliding Hit some broken beer bottles. Have nightmares, to this day.
and no. the guy was soooo not worth it.

I have yet to get drinking SCARS but I've had many injuries. One time after about 12 shots of whiskey I thought it would be a good idea to hang upside down from a soccer post with one leg, I wasn't quite successful and crashed on my head and shoulder, was a pretty cool bruise to show off the next day at the bar.

I'm mostly just little cuts and bruises on my hands from trying to fix things/make things under the influence

I twisted my foot when I fell out of the car after my husband picked me up at the store. He found me sitting against the wall, drunk off my behind and smelling like barf, because I barfed. My scar is on the inside.

Not a drinking SCAR, exactly, but I do have a drinking dent in my shoulder. Broke my collarbone in an extremely low speed DUI bicycle crash. Thing never set straight, probably because I didn't notice something was wrong until the next morning.

Does losing half a tooth count as a scar?

I am still missing most of a tooth, because we do not have dental insurance, and we owe so fucking much to the tooth fixers already. I wish we had a dentist in our family, since they seem to be the richest fucks on the earth, and the most necessary, too. and this is not even to mention the Grumpy, who is missing teeths. Note to self, encourage children to enter the dental profession. oh damn, too late.Maybe the grandbabies. But by then, our teefesses will have all done fucking falling out.

If I didn't know better I'd think I wrote that. I fell sideways from my bicycle with pretty much 0 speed landing on my shoulder with the impact going straight into the shoulder. Dislocated my shoulder and the collarbone detached from the shoulder - no damage to the bone itself. That was 7 months ago. I guess this gets more and more fixed over the years. Still it was a pretty good night.

Here's pix of my beautiful collarbone...

(Yes, it sticks up differently much depending on how I hold my shoulder)

No scars - well not from drinking anyhow. But I've had many many knocks and scrapes whilst drunk and most recently two nights ago I was getting into bed, I somehow managed to get my hand caught up in the sheet (??) my thumbnail got torn off halfway down - in my dunken state I looked at it and the blood for a while before sitting down and pouring another drink.

Oh and back in Feb I managed to break a toe during one very drunken weekend.
