Rondo's line tonight: 18 points, 17 rebounds, 20 assists
That's un-fucking-real.
And Boston is (allegedly) trying to trade him?
I don't understand the NBA.

Re: Peetie's NBA Thread
I like the Ellis for Bogut part of the trade but not the Udoh for Jackson part. I guess the Bucks were so eager to get rid of Jack that they made him the first condition of any trade talks. Acquiring a player in a trade who you then immediately have to start shopping around to other teams just seems like such a Warriors thing to do, especially when the guy's got one of the worst reputations in the league.
Oh well, the Bucks come to Oakland tomorrow night and I don't think that Milwaukee jersey is big enough to cover the big Golden State logo tattoo that Monta recently got on his upper back.
Literally as I was typing this post I checked ESPN.com to make sure it was a home game tomorrow and saw that Stephen Jackson had already been traded before ever playing a single game. Sounds about right.

Re: Peetie's NBA Thread
The Lakers got busy just before the deadline...
First, Derek Fisher to Houston for PF Jordan Hill, straight up...then they got Ramon Sessions from the Cavs for Luke Walton, Jason Kapono, LAL's 2012 #1 draft pick and @$900k in cash. Hill is a decent backup PF, but Sessions is the lightning-quick, penetrating PG that LAL have been needing since their preseason trade for CP3 fell through.
Kinda sad to see Fisher go but it was time to upgrade the PG position.

Peetie,
Knicks seem to be a better team when either Carmelo or Amare is out. They both demand the ball as one on one guys. Should the Knicks split this duo up?

Re: Peetie's NBA Thread
I don't think so, personally. Between the various injuries to each of them, and Amar'e's bereavement leave, these two really haven't logged all that much time playing together this season while consistently running the same offense. Then there was the JR Smith acquisition, the emergence of Jeremy Lin, and the coaching change, which have all impacted the offensive structure. There's still a lot of learning going on. And now both Amar'e and Lin are out.Ptflea2 wrote:Peetie,

I believe if the Knicks can keep the core of this roster over the offseason, retain coach Woodson, have everybody healthy and go through a full preseason together, they can contend for a title.
