Morning drinks.

The morning beer or shower beer is a given for a lot of us, but I have recently discovered that the morning single malt might be even more satisfactory. What do you guys enjoy the most as first beverage of the day?

a nice sharp cider or fortified wine is always good. Or go the other route and have a rich port and/or brandy with breakfast

In my week in glasgow I had two types of breakfast
1. Guinness
2. Whisky (I did have few bourbons with ice on some ocassions though)

I never want to go to bed if there are still beers in the fridge, but then I am always hopeful that there are beers left in there when I wake up.

I had a buddy stop by last night, he was on his way back home to AZ from Los Angeles, we were on Dewars 12 all night (I'm trying to finish off all of the blended Scotch in the home bar). This morning was all Gin & Tonics again. I found a great new Gin called New Amsterdam, it's becoming a staple because of surprisingly good taste.
