There's a bunch of free (silent) movies here (for convenience, I have the 1923 version of 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' (marvel at Lon Chaney's, incredibly painful, make up) loaded, but look around the site and find Harold Lloyd, Buster Keaton, Fatty Arbuckle etc.).

And so it is. So very many silent movies are now, sadly, overlooked and relegated to the dustbin of history (a lot of people won't even watch black and white fims). For more information, including an excellent documentary about silent comedies, click here. If you cannot get it outside the UK, please let me know, and I'll try to set up a proxy whereby you can route via my IP address (not too many at once, please).

Palinka posted something about withnail & I in another thread. It is endlessly rewatchable and quotable

My favourite movie here, free.
I remember watching it as a kid and laughing my arse off.
It is so good.

See that " Pink Panter " movie Savage, is that the porno remake ? Released at the same time as " Goodwill Humping " and " Schindlers Piss " ?

On the night we were engaged, Grumpy and I viewed a Laurel and Hardy show. We saw not only The Music Box, but the original silent, in which the boys attempted to deliver a washing machine.
