it's a pleasure to meet you all. i'm buying for the house, enjoy one on me.

a coupe years off active duty army infantry. still drinking to forget. trying to integrate a social element into it, because while drinking alone suits me just fine, an old platoon mate of mine suggested this forum. he and i had a fondness for the drink unmatched by many in our environment, and it appears that you fine folks share this quality.

when i had to identify the proper elements to a gin tonic for the profile creation, i knew this was the site for me. and that used to be my shit! my son will one day learn that his old man once supported the family making pizzas while mixing proper gin tonics in the kitchen. one does what one must.
my drink types are a cyclical device of life, and thus in line with pretty much every other circle-jerk function that provides timing between one drink to the next.

Ahh, but Evan Williams is also square, and it's full of Evan Williams instead of Jack.

Yeah and they don't sit next to each other on the shelf so there's no way to accidently pickup a bottle of the Traitor.

This was all the motivation I need. Former (airborne) infantryman myself. Army undrunk for 3 years now.

Currently a student here in the beautiful midwest and enjoying a Maker's Mark and Ginger Ale. Next round's on me.

My name is "Rooster" with an "R". You can start the shots here. They will be paid in reciprocation when I deploy to whatever neck of the woods you're in with prostitutes.

Pleae allow me to introduce myself, I'm a girl of wealth (relative) and taste (also relative)
You may know me from one of my previous gigs, as Savage Swiller, aka the ice cream girl who sneered at your choice of putting Chunky Franko (vanilla ice cream base, chopped up hot dogs, mustard drizzles and sauerkraut threads) into your root beer float.
I know these things are a matter of taste, but damn. Your taste sucks. And I hope you choke on it. (Try not to puke yourself to death in my station.) Take it to the sidewalk.

Hey, I suppose I should take this opportunity to introduce myself. I'm Jim from Missouri. Like many in this forum, I'm a former soldier. I'm currently in school working on a Master's in Teaching. Outside of drinking, my favorite activities are reading, cooking and bicycling. It's been great finding this website. I really enjoy coming here and hope to get to know some of you better in the future.

Take care!

Denver bound from downunder.

Post by Rumbullion »

G'day guys and dolls, Rumbullion here, hailing from the world's most liveable city;

Home to some of the world's best cocktail bars and clubs, the Melbourne cup-the race that stops a nation, and the Australian Open.

I will be spinning through Denver sometime in late Feb for a few weeks. You see, my pops is not very well so I'm calling in from Australia to do my duty and give my liver a good workout.
I have been to Denver once in 2002, I think, and had a ball. However, this time it's gonna be cold and I'm gonna need to keep warm, I ain't seen snow in 10 years!!!!
I have also been a long time reader and subscriber to The Modern Drunkard so I have an idea about the Hepatitis Oath.

Here's the rub;

I would love to catch up with some of the other members here for a good day of diving, boozing, jokery, pub crawling, chicken winging(only to enable more drinking) whilst in town.
I reckon I'll be based around Corona,Downing and Colfax.

Just as well this isn't a job application because there are more I's than the Mississippi!

Yup, that's about it. Looking to get trashed on good rum, brews, gin, engage in some intelligent conversation and exchange knowledge.
Oh, I should mention that I am originally Irish and know a thing or two about holding my own at the bar, even at a mile high.

Drop me a line if you are interested or have any suggestions for appropriate drinking spots or even if there is a festival/event on that might just lead to Hunter S Thompson and Hemminwayesque escapades.

And in the tradition of our literary imbibers I would also like to write an article about my experiences with the Denver branch so that our brethren in distant lands may be enlightened and educated in the fine arts of Alchemical Alcoholic Denaturing.

Waiting for the good news.
