You mean things other than vinegary chips, pretzels, salty crackers, pickles, roasted peanuts or cucumber slices? Yes, we do indeed.

pfff being dry is not a terminate illness.
it can be cured.
However, if it can't be, you can still go on with your functional alcoholic life and go to pubs and get hideously drunk now on then. They tolerate. If they don't, now that's problem. Run, if you can.

Well, we could imagine a future relocation of one of us and much more time spent together so...

Uhm, I don't know how to bring this to you, Boozy, but hey, since we're grown-ups in the same pub... I once dated a Californian anthropology student, ten years younger than me - we met in Spain and started this long-distance relationship, nine time zones apart. Whenever she was in Belgium, it was fine, I guess she thought 'when in Rome...' and she drank along with me and my friends. But in California, she turned around and took me to these mexican restaurants where no alcohol was served at all, and when in here appartment, having had two glasses of wine, she would start whining about my drinking habits. Of course, and here I turn and point to Lady Savage, not all american girls are like that, but when you talk about a semi-dry, watch out my friend. That said, think about the good advice given by Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman: when in doubt, fuck.

If a long distance relationship with a semi-actual person worked for Manti T'eo, a long distance relationship with a semi-dry can work for you.
