I didn't need cheering up in the first place, but I'm always at least a little scared by violence

Watched "Comes a Bright Day" tonight with my lady. She asked me if I'd take a pistol whip in the face for her, or even a bullet in the ankle.

i told her, "I'll always take a shot for you, love."

And then I did.

Girlie and I spent yesterday's rainy afternoon watching Magnolia. I love that depressing movie. And Aimee Mann's music is just amazing.

Being a history buff I'm sorry to say I missed this flick. It's going to #1 on my Netflix q.
Just bought a 1.5L bottle of Bombay Sapphire for $29, a 25% discount. This is the best gin ever with all those medicinal herb. Only drink for medicinal purposes of course.

The Shining, in a theater, IMAX.

I'm slowly, day by day, thinking that the scene between Scatman Crothers and little Danny LLoyd may be, just maybe, the greatest scene ever filmed, ever.

ever.

I felt so cheated. The Shining trailer showed blood pouring out of an elevator. The reality of the film was so much weaker. And I hated that Wendy bitch. Give me the axe.
